Abstract

Abstract:

Proper eye movement control and maintenance of clear single vision are essential  for the diverse visual demands of daily life. Clinical experience and growing research  indicate that impaired ocular motor functions are common following acquired brain injury and may complicate the return to normal activities.

This presentation will describe our approaches to understanding how ocular motor functions are affected, the course of recovery, and the influence on patients’ ability to cope with daily activities. Eye tracking is a central tool in our studies and we aim at relating the findings to symptoms and applied visual function such as reading.
