Abstract:

Principal Investigators who direct sponsored programs and staff, need to obtain equipment, supplies, parts and services from commercial sources to conduct their projects. The Office of Management and Budget’s Uniform Guidance prescribes how purchases should be made to ensure open andfree competition to the maximum extent practical and consistent with applicable federal cost principles and internal controls. The Smith-Kettlewell Board of Directors has approved a new Procurement/Purchasing Policy. This mandatory Brown Bag will review new purchasing procedures that have been developed tomeet Smith-Kettlewell policy requirements.
