Abstract

A discussion on the advancement of movement and navigation for blind people through techniques including FlashSonar, derived from recent and emerging science.

Lessons from traumatic brain injury and recovering from stroke are highlighted toward the activation of the perceptual imaging system in blind people. Other science

and its implications for blind people will be discussed as well as questions raised about critical research needs.
